1. Why did you decide to sell your business?
It felt like the right time, particularly as there was no one in a position for me to leave it too.
2. How did you find out about BCMS Corporate and why did you select us to sell your business?
BCMS Corporate came recommended by my advisers. When I decided the time was right to sell I did my research and concluded that they were the best.
3. Did you consider any competitors of BCMS Corporate and if so why did you not use them? If you didn’t consider any competitors, why not?
Not really. After speaking with BCMS Corporate I quickly realized they fitted the bill perfectly in terms of what I was after in a corporate adviser.
4. How did you feel the sale process was managed?
On the whole efficient and thorough if not a little slow... yet in hindsight I guess it’s better to be safe rather than sorry when selling your business.
5. How important was confidentiality and why was this?
It was important, particularly in terms of staff morale. Thankfully confidentiality was never an issue at all during the whole process.
6. Did the purchase process affect the everyday management of your company?
Thankfully no. It was one of the major worries for me as I was keen for it not to impact on the business but my fears proved unfounded.
7. Are your staff staying with the company and was this an important factor in the sale process?
Definitely. This was one of the conditions of the sale. I wouldn’t have entertained any offers without it.
8. Will the former management have any involvement in the business post sale and if not what are your plans?
I’ll be staying on for a short period of time. Everyone else will be remaining with Tyreland for the duration I am very pleased to say as they are all integral to the success of the business – both past and present.
9. Would you recommend BCMS Corporate’s services to another company considering buying or selling?
Without a shadow of a doubt. It’s fair to say that I couldn’t have done it without them.
10. How satisfied were you with the sale price and terms achieved?
I think it was a fair price for the business. Maybe at a different time with different market conditions I may have got more but I am happy overall.
11. What is your overall opinion of BCMS Corporate?
They did what I asked them to do. I couldn’t have asked for more.
