Owners Martyn Moody and Alistair Dunk approached BCMS Corporate to direct the sale of their privately owned electrical installation specialist company. Martyn and Alistair wanted to sell their business to retire and felt the company had significant growth potential under the ownership of a larger organization. BCMS Corporate made contact with a staggering 300 prospective buyers of which 43 expressed further interest in Lectec. Thus enticing six companies to personally meet with Martyn and Alistair; resulting in two final offers. Of which, entrepreneur Les O’Hare -previous owner of O’Hare Engineering- stood out amongst the rest.  Martyn and Alistair explain, “After running the business for over 30 years, we felt it was the right time to identify a buyer, and with the support of BCMS Corporate, we believe in Les, we have an individual with the capacity to take Lectec to the next level.”

Les identified the potential Lectec offered with implementation of proactive sales and marketing strategy to leverage the vast experience, excellent reputation and established track record. Already dominating in the UK, Lectec projects have successfully spread to the overseas market from the UK, Europe, Africa, and Middle East to Russia. The company currently operates very successfully with minimal sales and marketing activity. Already prepared for the sale, the company management team already operates without the day to day interference of their primary shareholders. Notably, for a number of years Lectec has self-financed and remained cash generative and highly profitable. Affiliations include UK’s Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and the National Inspection Council for Electrical Contractors (NICEIC).
