The owners of JPD Food Limited, Laurence and Jacqueline Slater, were nearing their chosen retirement age and wanted time to pursue other interests. Recognizing that their business offered significant potential to a strategic acquirer, the owners approached BCMS to discuss the possibility of a sale. On behalf of JPD Food, BCMS reached out to 268 prospective buyers, received 58 expressions of interest, and facilitated nine meetings and four offers.

JPD Food was purchased by Zepbrook Limited, a company with very similar service offerings to JPD. Both the acquirer and seller recognized the potential synergy between these companies: a consolidation of overhead costs and an expanded customer base, to name a few. Since the acquisition, the two companies have merged to one location and under one name, Zepbrook.
